Having been woken up at stupid o'clock by hungry baby, laddo then decided he wanted some breakfast just as I was stepping out the door; so, lack of sleep but up and ready in good tme for the ride became late yet again. Never mind, arrived in time to be first there. Must have been tired because in spite of the luminescent yellow top that was blinding himself and the neighbourhood, John managed to sneak up and put my heart rate into the red zone with a simple " mornin' ". Well, it's one way of warming up, something that was definitely necessary....there's still a winter chill. Anyway, several layers of clothing now added we headed off. The chill still cut through and chins froze on the first descent, all acompanied by the usual coughs and splutters of the old hacks sputtering into life. By the time we got to Clumber we were happily settled and over the groans; it didn't stop us taking a few wrong turns though. However, got back to The Blue Bell feeling suitably satisfied that we had got out and put a few miles under the belt. on this dull cold day... ...just watched Team Sky do the business in the TTT at the tour of Qatar in blazing sunshine......***^%%$...... ![]()
