Kids Ride, Sherwood Pines

Georgia, Luke, Aaron, Joel, Fraser and Rory made up the little gang for our inaugural kids ride of 2012. Judging by the way the Dads (Martin, Conor, Steve and I) were banished to a separate table by happy kids in the cafe afterwards the Blue route ride of a little under 2 hours was a success. True to form Mr C stamped his usual competitive spirit by sitting his lot on cyclo cross bikes which they handled with ease and equally true to form my two had the heaviest MTB's I could find. Luke and Aaron meanwhile seemed to make short work of the trail and the diversion onto the downhill section of the red route. After pleasantries swapped with the cafe girls and speedy and efficient loading of bikes onto racks we were all good for another go in a few weeks time........

Luke really didnt want to go on this ride today, instead preferring the temptation of XBox Live, but he said that he really enjoyed it and was asking when the next one was, so big thanks to Simon for making it happen, to everyone else who came along and to all the other kids who got on so well together.
I wonder if anyone else has noticed Simons strange fingers?
The girl in the cafe certainly did notice and was quite chatty with Simon before he tried to dig out of the hole he inadvertainly created by saying he didnt say actually she was fat, just that she ate too much cake!
I exited the cafe very quickly after that comment !
Looking forward to making these a regular adventure

Simon, i think your 'chat up line' in the cafe was very 'different' to say the least!!, & what a shame we didn't video the bike loading fiasco!!!!
