I was wondering whether any of you knew of any cobblestoned roads/tracks in our neck of the woods. Other than Chesterfield market and a very tiny stretch near Hardwick Hall (that leads to a dead end) I haven't found any yet. I'm trying to put together a bit of a Tour of Flanders style route but I've found lots of short(ish) steep climbs and now just need some cobbles. | |

like i need an excuse to read maps more than i already do,
have i ridden over any? (or am i dreaming of Roubaix!!) food for thought
talking of CX style routes canal towpath all the way to the trent at gainsboro' ?

Where are the climbs you have in mind? There are some very lengthy and solidly surfaced bridlewyas in the are - not cobles but they'll maske you juddder. Was good to see you at NDCXL today. I now have a pile of mud on the yard that belongs to Bulwell park.... ....mind you, they do have the odd gallon of my sweat! Excellen t:D | |
