Hello everyone, I've looked into affiliation to the CTT and it is £20 per year. BUT there is a further £50 on top of that if you have commercial sponsors. So we would have to: A - Not bother affiliating (which means nobody would be able to ride an open time trial). B- Cough up £70 C- Pay £20 but not wear B&DCC jerseys while racing. D- Have a new jersey made without the sponsors names. CTT will NOT allow you to ride with sponsors names on your jersey unless you have registered as a sponsored club. Peter

Good work detective Vern !
my intial opinion would be to leave affiliation for this year then , members can still compete in the club time trials such as the Cuckney series run by Kiveton Park
if we get more than a couple of riders members wanting to dip into entering the "open" events , then we should reconsider at that point
if it aint broke , dont fix it

The £70.00 is not a huge problem as funds are healthy at the moment. The issue for me is more that the CTT year starts in October, so we'd only get half a year for £70.
I'd agree with affiliating at the start of the CTT year, which would allow some time to see what interest there is in racing TTs before we commit to joining.
