I will try and get to as many as possible again this year. I'm a bit disappointed that the entry fee has gone up by 20% this year.

This was, in my opinion, a bit of a 'knee jerk' reaction to the potential loss of a number of events due to the cost of hiring venues. It appears to have worked as there are 12 rounds next season rather than a possible 9. I still don't agree with the increase though, as I feel that it will reduce the numbers riding and potentially offset the claimed increase in revenue. This is the main reason for our deciding not to organise in 2010. We'll have to see how things pan out for next year.
I will aim to ride a few NDCXL events (poss. Shipley / Alfreton / Sherwood Pines) as I can't really afford to do more. I'm also planning a couple of forays into Yorkshire in November: Sheffield Stars' 'Cross on 14 November and Graves Park on 28 November (both Sundays).

I only hope they haven't increased the fees purely to be able to offer bigger prizes to the winners. It's a shame that another two courses that I did well on last year Bulwell and Alvaston are no longer being used! I
