Bolsover & District Cycling Club

The first outing for our new marquee (assuming it arrives tomorrow morning as promised) will be at Bolsover Gala this Sunday (27 June).

We will be joining forces with Extreme Wheels to deliver another round of Grasstrack BMX Racing, the new sensation that is currently taking the district by storm…Chairman Steve and I are out to beat the 38 races that we ran at the Action Sports Festival in Shirebrook, even though we have an hour less this time and the competing draw of Germany v England to contend with…A closely fought final race at Shirebrook saw the two fastest riders on the day collide on the first bend, so Liam Downes time of 46 seconds remained unbeaten.

If you’re in the area or looking for a fun filled and exciting family day out, come along to Hornscroft Park in Bolsover between 11am and 4pm to sample the delights of the third Bolsover Gala – too many to list here, but you can expect the usual gala stuff.

We will be at the pointy end of the site beyond the bowling green off Langwith Road. If you’re on the club run, you have no excuse as we are literally a few hundred yards from the Blue Bell – come and see us after the ride. We’ll have some bean bags in the marquee to soothe your post ride aches. Dr. Bike can even check your bike while you relax.
