Isn't the sun a wonderful thing? It floats around, warming the earth, helping to germinate all that new life and before you know it up pop all these fresh (????) cyclists. It's been good to see new faces on the southern spiral - hello triatheletes - and the Saturday morning mtb amble - hello Simon and Steve. Indeed, hopefully next Thursday we'll be in a position to have different teams on the spiral (on the second lap) and have a bit of a pursuit effort.. Anyway, it's now about time to take a look at the big box in the corner to see how the pro's do it.....

Attemped the South Spiral last night but I am afraid I let Vern and Lee down as within 100m of starting we all heard a loud hissing which was my brand new tyre and inner tube deflating! Not wishing to hold the chaps up I clattered back to my car in my ever so comfortable cycling shoes and tossed the bike into the back. I drove home and headed for the Silverhill Trail on the Mountain Bike - I had a nice ride but without the company of my fellow club members :(. The rubber which covers the rim had been puctured on my road bike which inturn did the damage on the inner tube. All is fixed with plastic cover now on the rim - hope to see you all next week....
