I have got to spend a bit of money on my bike in the near future and was wondering if I need a membership number or similar to get the 10% discount at JE James?

I'm afraid the 10% off is a bit of a con. You don't get it if the ticket price is already discounted - and almost everything already is

tis the truth that peter speaks , that most products are already dscounted and that the extra 10% does not apply to these products. Id stop short of saying that one of our generous sponsors is comitting a "con" , its just how most retail giants work these days...remember Dave that if you do your research first you can usually apply some gentle pressure on the JE James staff to at least match the best internet prce you can find , if not beat it
