Steve and I have had a chat about the possibilities for setting up some sort of regular ride for our little angels on a weekend. The thinking is maybe something like a trail ride such as the Pines blue route perhaps once a month? My two hoobs (aged 7 and 9) are keen so I was floating this out there to gauge interest? Could I ask for a show of virtual hands from those who might be interested in principle please? Preferences to frequency, timing (Sat v Sun, am v pm, 1 or 2 hours, winter/summer) and venues also welcome.

Georgia would definately be interested in this and Lucas would be told, so thats +2 I think Saturday mornings would be the best bet (leaving Sunday free for the adults) , We could kick off with a few rides at the Pines to make sure that skills were at the right level to progress onto something more challenging on the local trails I think Spring, Summer & Autumn would be the best for a formal calendar, hopefully delievering the kids into a bit of winter cross racing This should all tie up nicely with the Go-Ride coaching and Go-Ride racing , which will be resuming with gusto in the spring (watch this space for an exciting announcement) Good work Simon

I’ve had a quick chat with Aaron and he’s really keen on the idea. I agree that Saturday mornings would be the better suited and also you need to allow up to a couple of hours depending on the cycle route. The recent ride that we did at Hardwick was just about the right distance. The Pines blue route would definitely be a good place to ride. Another venue could be the Monsal trail although its not technical , even for younger children.
