Hi there, Just thought I would post to say hello and introduce myself. I have recently started riding again, mostly with a couple of mates. We have been doing a few night rides on the high peak, Carsington and near a mates place in & around Derby city. As I have been enjoying riding again I am looking for more regular and different rides. The evening MTB night rides sound ace and hope to get out on one soon, and the trips to other trail centres etc sound like fun (when I get a little fitter) Hope to meet a few of you in the near future. Cheers Mark

Hi Mark,

You will be more than welcome if you want to join us for some riding. I think Sherwood Pines has been suggested as tomorrows night ride. We usually ride in from the South Forest Leisure Centre at Edwinstowe and do a loop of the Kitchener Trail. I think the start time is now 7pm, but check back for more information later if youre keen. Otherwise there will be more peak rides and trail centre trips coming up over the next few months if you want to get out in daylight.

Cheers

Craig

Cheers for the reply Craig, Unfortunately I won't be able to make this week due to previous work commitments, however I should be good from next week onwards. Bit gutted, I have ridden the kitchener trail a couple of times over the last month and enjoyed it, I bet its a real challenge in the dark. I will keep my eye out for notification of next weeks ride. Hi Mark

Hope we can welcome you (and perhaps your mates too?) into our little group. Winter rides are a little bit more ad-hoc as we tend to keep an eye on the weather, but in summer we revert to a planned set of routes so you can see weeks in advance where we are going.

Where are you based Mark?

Hi Steve, I am Chesterfield based so not to far away. My mates are Derby based so a little further to travel. Don't have problem with the ad-hoc venues, I will probably have to travel straight from work anyway.

Hi Mark,

For the money Magic shine are awesome. Not got one myself as i didn't want a seperate battery pack but the light you get for the money is 2nd to none. Quite a few guys in the club have them and as far as i am aware they are all impressed.

Cheers

Craig
