As 2012 approaches its obvious that this club is growing rapidly and has some real opportunity presented to it.

A very small team of members formed this club in 2006 and through hard work and determination have grown in it to where it is now.

To grow further , the workload needs to be spread amongst a greater number of members who are willing to contribute, and many such members are coming forward already.

To make it clear what we want people to do, we are working on a defined structure to the club, and clear role responsibilties. Thsi will form the bulk of discussion at the next Club Social and comitte meeting with the goal of getting most of teh roles filled by someone willing to give perhaps just an hour or two a week to help build the strength of this club further

The first draft of the club structure can be seen and downloaded here...http://www.bolsoveranddistrictcyclingclub.org.uk/documents/club%20structure.pdf

if you think theres a role description that you could fill, then get in touch or come along to one of the meetings to dicsuss this futher

  • Green boxes have someone already voted into place
  • Orange Boxes have a potential candidate already expressing interest
  • Red boxes are open vacancies...these are the ones we want to fill ASAP

Some positions (such as MTB Coach) cant be filled yet, but are on their for futureproofing...if you see something missing then let us know

heres brief descriptions of what the vacant role responsibilities are :-

  • Membership Secretary
  • Keep and manage club membership records
  • take payments for club memberships, chase renewals etc
  • Fundraiser
    • Look for external sources of funding & make bid applications

    • Cooridinate and manage trail clearing work groups

  • Social Seceretary
    • Organise the club Annual awards

    • be the coordinator for that particular discipline
    • own the club web page for that discipline & feed it with content
