Strava  . its good im useing it and you can race with your friends evan if you are out on the bike your self  grew out of our own needs as athletes. With busy lives requiring much solo training, we missed the sense of camaraderie and friendly competition that drove us to achieve our best through training with others. We envisioned Strava as the means to put our workouts and races into context. We call that social fitness. Today, Strava lets athletes all over the world experience social fitness—sharing, comparing and competing with each other's personal fitness data via mobile and online apps. Currently focused on the needs of avid cyclists and runners, Strava lets you track your rides and runs via your iPhone, Android or dedicated GPS device to analyze and quantify your performance. Strava makes fitness a social experience, providing motivation and camaraderie even if you’re exercising alone http://www.strava.com/

I've started using this recently and have been impressed. Certainly seems a step above Garmin Connect.

Just seen the start and finish for Station Road , why does it finish at Town End Traffic Lights ? Surely the top is ... At the top ?!? The finish is beyond a set of lights - hit a red and it ends your effort and it's all been a waste of time !! Don't know how the app works but will it automatically detect the start and finish or do I have to start the iPhone and stop it at the end ?!? I see Carr Lane is on there as well , although no-one seems to have posted a all out effort time up it yet ...

If you use an app like Strava when your route uploads, it automaticly calculates the stop, start and time on the website, no faffing with the phone.Carr Ln is mine this week..... :D

Well done Jono, good effort - just seen on strava your starting position, the club hill climb started back at the railway line. Is there anyway to alter gps so it's in line with the club competition set by Simon.
