Plans are afoot to re-establish a Go-Bike programme in 2012...keep checking here for further details.
In the meantime we do have occasional parent & kids MTB rides scheduled on the odd Saturday morning. Look in the Rides Calendar section to find these......see below
Especially for those parents with kids hungry for off road action, we have a (roughly) monthly Saturday morning ride.
Meeting at 10am, the ride lasts around 90 minutes and is suitable for kids with basic off road skills who wont be too much out of their comfort zone with a ride of that duration.
We encourage parents to ride with their kids, but by arrangement we may be able to take out young riders as part of the group
Go-Bike is a joint project run by Bolsover & District Cycling Club and Bolsover District Council which aims to encourage individuals & families to take up or to re-discover cycling as a healthy and accessible way to become more active and to build the confidence of those who may not have cycled for some time.
Go-bike family rides follow off road trails, tracks , bridleways and quiet roads at a leisurely pace with stops to take in points of interest or just to admire the view.
The 2010 go-bike programme is now complete. For nostalgia a pdf of the official leaflet is available by clicking here
